Section 284-24E-070 - Are write-offs or other small sums of money provided as customer service gestures considered claims?

If a self-insurer, facility or provider waives copayments, forgives bills or deductibles, or makes other similar accommodations to a client, it is not a claim under RCW 48.140.010(1). Claimants are not required to report these types of accommodations to the commissioner.
