(1) An applicant who has taken and passed both the therapist multiple choice examination and the clinical simulation examination for the registered respiratory therapist credential provided by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), has met the minimum examination requirements of RCW 18.89.090(1)(b). Applicants shall request the NBRC verify to the department that the applicant has successfully passed the NBRC examinations.

(2) An active registered respiratory therapist credential with NBRC is considered proof of meeting the minimum examination requirements.
