Section 246-358-001 - Purpose and applicability

(1) Purpose. This chapter is adopted by the Washington state department of health to implement the provisions of chapter 70.114A RCW and RCW 43.70.334 through 43.70.340, and establish minimum health and safety requirements for temporary worker housing and cherry harvest camps.

(2) Applicability.

(a)This chapter applies only to operators of temporary worker housing, including cherry harvest camps, provided by agricultural employers or operators in the state of Washington; and

(b)Operators of temporary worker housing shall be licensed under this chapter if the housing meets the criteria identified in WAC 246-358-025.
