Section 212-17-235 - Pyrotechnic operators - Responsibility

(1) The pyrotechnic operator is responsible for:
(a) Properly setting up the fireworks
public display in accordance with the rules and regulations of the state fire
marshal.
(b) Determining that all the
mortars and set pieces are properly installed and that the proper safety
precautions have been taken to ensure the safety of persons and property.
(c)Having charge of all activities
directly related to handling, preparing and firing all fireworks at the public
display, including fixing lifting charges and quick match as needed to aerial
shells.
(d) Refusing to fire any
fireworks that are deemed by him/her to be unsafe or where its discharge might
jeopardize life or property.
(e)
Strictly observing the provisions of
chapter
70.77 RCW and this
chapter.
(2) Penalties for violations of this section are provided in WAC 212-17-515.
