Section 173-518-020 - Purpose

The purpose of this chapter is to manage water to better satisfy both present and future human needs; to retain natural surface water bodies in the Dungeness River watershed planning area with stream flows at levels necessary to protect instream values and resources; and to implement ecology's obligations under the Elwha Dungeness watershed plan. Instream resources include: Wildlife, fish, scenic, aesthetic, recreation, water quality, and other environmental values; navigational values; and stock water needs.
