Section 173-303-64610 - Purpose and applicability

(1) The provisions of this section, and WAC 173-303-64620 and 173-303-64630, establish requirements for corrective action for releases of dangerous wastes and dangerous constituents including releases from solid waste management units.

(2) The provisions of this section apply to facilities seeking or required to have a permit to treat, store, recycle or dispose of dangerous waste.

(3) The provisions of this section do not apply to cleanup-only facilities.

(4) For purposes of this section, dangerous constituent means any constituent identified in WAC 173-303-9905 or Appendix "Ground-Water Monitoring List" in Chemical Test Methods for Designating Dangerous Waste which is incorporated at WAC 173-303-110(3)(c), any constituent that caused a waste to be listed as a dangerous waste or to exhibit a dangerous characteristic under this chapter or to meet a dangerous waste criteria under this chapter, and any constituent that is within the meaning of "hazardous substance" under RCW 70.105D.020(13).
