Section 1-06-010 - Purpose

The purpose of this chapter is to ensure compliance by the statute law committee and the office of the code reviser with the provisions of chapter 42.56 RCW, the Public Records Act. The agency adopts these rules and regulations so as to provide fullest assistance to inquirers and full public access to the agency's public records while protecting those records from damage or disorganization, preventing excessive interference with other essential agency functions, and not unreasonably disrupting agency operations.
