Action 1.

A new rule (46.77.35) entitled Foreign Motor Bus Registration is adopted to read as follows:

General

Applications for Foreign Motor Bus Registrations shall be made upon a form prescribed by the Commissioner ofMotor [of Motor] Vehicles and shall contain such information as the Commissioner may require.

One (1) marker only will be issued for each motor bus and same shall be attached to the front of the motor bus.

A photostatic copy of the foreign motor bus registration certificate must be submitted with each application for a Vermont Motor Bus Registration.

Application

Anyone wishing to receive a Vermont Motor Bus Registration, pursuant to the statute here involved, must include the following information in the telegram or message received by the Permit Section.

Complete name and address of registered owner

Year of vehicle

Make of vehicle

Manufacturer's full Identification number

Seating capacity

State of registration

Permission to sign application (emergency purposes provisions)

Correct fee

If authorization is to be forwarded by telegram (emergency purposes provisions) included also must be the address where return wire is to be sent.

If any of the above information is missing, the registration will not be issued.

Emergency Provisions

When the Commissioner, for emergency purposes, authorizes the operation of a motor bus by telegram, the marker must then be attached and the certificate placed in the vehicle within seven (7) days of the date giving initial authority to enter.

A photostatic copy of the home state motor bus registration must be forwarded to the Permit Section within two (2) weeks of the date of issue of an emergency authorization to enter.

Miscellaneous

Upon termination of operation in the State of Vermont prior to the expiration of the registration issued, or upon sale of the motor bus to which a registration and marker have been issued, the motor bus registration certificate and marker must be returned to the Vermont Motor Vehicle Department for cancellation. Neither Motor bus registrations nor markers are transferrable.
