Section 12 010 016 - HUNTING AND TRESPASSING ON DEAD CREEK GOOSE MANAGEMENT AREA IN ADDISON

Pursuant to the procedures provided in 3 VSA 803 and by authority set forth in 10 VSA 4082 the Fish and Wildlife Board hereby adopts the following regulations:

The following regulation applies to the portion of the Dead Creek Wildlife Management Area which is posted and designated as the Goose Management Area. The boundaries are marked by posters headed "Goose Management Area."

1. A person shall not trespass or take fish, wild animals, or wild birds except under authority of a permit from the Fish and Wildlife Department.

2. Shooting is permitted only from legal shooting time until 11:00 A.M.

3. Hunters shall report to the area operations sttion one and one-half hours before legal shooting time.

4. Shooting is permitted from designated locations only.

5. All hunters shall report back to the area operations station at or before noon. Any equipment borrowed will be returned and all waterfowl bagged will be presented for inspection.

6. Daily limits for geese and ducks shall be set annually be temporary rule pursuant to 10 VSA Section 4082(b) and 3 VSA Chapter 25.

7. Shotguns shall be 10, 12, 16, or 20 gauge.

8. Shotgun shell possession limit shall be set annually by temporary rule pursuant to 10 VSA Section 4082(b) and 3 VSA Chapter 25.

9. Shot size may not be larger than size T.

10. Parking is permitted in assigned parking areas only.

11. Hunters shall enter and leave the hunting area by designated routes only.

12. Dogs are not allowed on the hunting area.

13. Nontoxic shot is required for all waterfowl hunting. The area concerned is enclosd by appropriate notices to mark boundaries.
