Section R909-2-31 - Snowplow Operations

(1) Blades more than 8 feet 6 inches must be equipped with a yellow, rotating beacon warning light.
(2) Snowplows with up to 12 feet wide blades may operate without oversize permits, if they comply with:
(a) lights which provide adequate
illumination if the blade is in either the up, or down position;
(b) signaling lights must not be obscured;
and
(c) blades must be angled so
that the minimum width is exposed to oncoming traffic during periods of travel
between jobs.
