The purpose of this rule is to protect and preserve Utah's highway infrastructure, enhance safety, and facilitate commerce. Commercial motor vehicle operators and motor carriers engaged in the movement of over-dimensional and overweight vehicles and loads must comply with permit conditions as specified in the Utah Size and Weight rule. These conditions apply to all over-dimensional vehicles and loads.
