Section R657-5-37 - Antlerless Moose Hunts

(1) To hunt antlerless moose, a hunter must obtain an antlerless moose permit.
(2)
(a) An
antlerless moose permit allows a person to take one antlerless moose using any
legal weapon within the area and season specified on the permit and in the
Antlerless guidebook of the Wildlife Board for taking big game.
(b) A person may not hunt antlerless moose on
a moose cooperative wildlife management unit unless that person obtains an
antlerless moose permit for that specific cooperative wildlife management unit
as specified on the permit.
(3)
(a) A
person who has obtained an antlerless moose permit must report hunt information
within 30 calendar days after the end of the hunting season, whether the permit
holder was successful or unsuccessful in harvesting an antlerless
moose.
(b) Antlerless moose permit
holders must report hunt information by telephone, or through the division's
website.
(c) A person who fails to
comply with the requirement in Subsection (a) shall be ineligible to apply for
any limited entry antlerless, or limited entry ewe permit or bonus points in
the following year.
(d) Late
questionnaires may be accepted pursuant to Subsection
R657-42-9(3).
