1. The Division shall award grants based on its discretion and will consider the following criteria when awarding grants:
(a) The history of wildland fire within the
jurisdiction;
(b) The proposed
benefit to be obtained by the grant;
(c) The severity of threat to human health
and safety posed by wildland fire within the jurisdiction;
(d) Timeliness of the grant
application;
(e) The balance of the
Wildland Fire Preparedness Grants Fund and other funding sources;
(f) The ability of the entity to provide the
required match for the grant;
(g)
The priorities of the Division related to wildland fire prevention,
preparedness, control, and suppression; and
(h) Other criteria determined relevant by the
Division.
