Rule R590-131 - Accident and Health Coordination of Benefits Rule
Section R590-131-2 - Purpose and Scope

(1) The purpose of this rule is to:
(a) establish an order for
an insurer to pay a coordination of benefits claim;
(b) establish when benefits may be reduced
under a secondary plan; and
(c)
provide efficiency in processing a claim when an enrollee is covered under more
than one plan.
(2) This rule applies to an insurer offering accident and health insurance.
