Section R444-14-2 - Definitions

(1) "Analyte" means a substance, organism, physical parameter, property, or chemical constituent for which an environmental sample is being analyzed.

(2) "Approved" means the determination by the program that a certified laboratory may analyze for an analyte under this rule.

(3) "Certification" means scope and certificate issued by the accreditation body to a laboratory.

(4) "Laboratory" means an organization and facility established for testing samples.

(5) "Method" means a body of procedures and techniques for performing an activity, systematically presented in the order in which they are to be executed within a laboratory setting.

(6) "NELAP" means National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program.

(7) "Program" means Utah Environmental Certification Program as administered by the Department of Health.
