Section R432-750-13 - Nursing Services

(1) A registered nurse shall provide or direct nursing services.
(2) Registered nursing personnel shall perform the following tasks:
(a) make the
initial nursing evaluation visit;
(b) re-evaluate the patient's nursing needs
as required;
(c) initiate the plan
of care and necessary revisions;
(d) provide directly, or by contract, skilled
nursing care;
(e) assign,
supervise, and teach other nursing personnel and primary care
persons;
(f) coordinate any
services provided with members of the interdisciplinary team;
(g) inform the physician and other personnel
of changes in the patient's condition and needs;
(h) prepare clinical progress notes;
and
(i) participate in in-service
training programs.
