Section R414-506-3 - Audit of Hospitals

(1) For a hospital that does not file a Medicare cost report for the time frames outlined in Section 26-36d-203, the Division of Medicaid and Health Financing (DMHF) shall audit the hospital's records to determine the correct discharges for the assessment.

(2) A hospital subject to the assessment shall make its records available for reasonable inspection upon written request from DMHF. DMHF shall consider a hospital that fails to make its records available to be non-compliant, and subject to the penalties set forth in Section R414-506-5.
