Section R380-300-6 - Sources for Background Review

(1) In accordance with Section 26B-1-211, the office may review and continually monitor relevant information obtained from the following sources:
(a) Department of Public Safety
arrest, conviction, and disposition records described in Title 53, Chapter 10,
Criminal Investigations and Technical Services Act, including information in
state, regional, and national records;
(b) federal criminal background databases
available to the office;
(c) the
department's Management Information System created in Section
80-2-1001;
(d) the department's Licensing Information
System created in Section
80-2-1002;
(e) the statewide database of the Division of
Aging and Adult Services created in Section
26B-6-210; and
(f) juvenile court records under Section
80-3-404.
(2) The office shall classify a crime committed in another state according to the closest matching crime under Utah law, regardless of how the other state classifies the crime.
