Section R162-57a-8 - Restrictions on Proposed Advertising

(1) Advertising that promotes gifts and other awards in connection with attending a sales presentation shall:
(a) disclose any conditions precedent to the
receipt of the gift or other award; and
(b) if receipt of a specific advertised gift
or other award is not guaranteed by virtue of attendance at the sales
presentation, state the odds of any attendee's chance of receiving the gift or
other award.
(2) A substitute gift, inducement, or award:
(a)
shall be equal in value or use to the gift, inducement, or award that was
originally promised; and
(b) may
not burden the recipient with additional travel expense in order to receive the
value of the gift, inducement, or award.
