Transportation Code, Chapter 223, Subchapter F, authorizes the department to enter into design-build contracts for highway projects and prescribes the requirements for entering into such a contract. This subchapter prescribes the procurement process to be followed by the department for a design-build contract and conditions on private participation in design-build contracts.
