Section 2.9 - Emergency Action Procedures

(a) Any request for deviations from the procedures in this chapter because of emergency circumstances will be handled on a case by case basis by the department delegate. Emergency circumstances include natural disasters, such as floods, hurricanes, tidal waves, earthquakes, severe storms, landslides, or catastrophic failures from any cause.

(b) All applicable state and federal emergency environmental permitting and approval processes will be followed.

(c) The work will be limited to actions that are directly related to public health and safety and that are necessary to minimize loss of public infrastructure.

(d) The project file must contain copies of all coordination and approvals obtained.
