The Texas Transportation Commission (commission) and the Texas Department of Transportation (department) will integrate environmental considerations into department activities to achieve compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards. The department will focus on delivering safe, efficient transportation projects and making sound decisions based on a balanced consideration of transportation needs and of social, economic and environmental impacts of proposed transportation improvements.
