(a) The Government Code, Chapter 656, Subchapter C, requires agencies like the Texas Department of Human Service (DHS) to publish rules about training and education policies. We offer training and education programs to:
(1) encourage your professional
development;
(2) increase your job
potential; and
(3) bring new
technology and educational methods to the workplace.
(b) This chapter answers the following questions:
(1) Who is eligible to participate
in DHS's training and education program?
(2) When I participate in a DHS training and
education program, what are my obligations to DHS?
