Chapter 216 - RURAL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Section 216.3 - Fire Department Eligibility

The following eligibility criteria must be met for a fire department to receive a grant under the program.
(1) TIFMAS Grants.
(A) The fire department must be in one of the
eligible categories listed in §
RSA
614.105(c) of the Texas
Government Code.
(B) The fire
department must be located in and operate in Texas.
(C) The fire department must be in good
standing with the State of Texas and the agency.
(D) The fire department must not be eligible
to receive VFD Assistance Grants.
(2) VFD Assistance Grants.
(A) The fire department must be a part-paid
fire department or a volunteer fire department, as defined in §
RSA
614.101 of the Texas Government
Code.
(B) The fire department must
be a recognized fire department located in and operating in Texas.
(C) The fire department must be in good
standing with the State of Texas and the agency.
