Section 601.15 - Reporting

(a) The ombudsman shall submit on a quarterly basis to the governor, the lieutenant governor, the state auditor, and each member of the legislature a report that is both aggregated and disaggregated by individual facility and describes:
(1) the work of the ombudsman;
(2) the results of any review or
investigation undertaken by the ombudsman, including reviews or investigation
of services contracted by the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD);
and
(3) any recommendations that
the ombudsman has in relation to the duties of the ombudsman.
(b) The ombudsman shall immediately report to the governor, the lieutenant governor, the speaker of the house of representatives, the state auditor, and the office of the inspector general of TJJD, any particularly serious or flagrant:
(1) case of abuse or injury of a child
committed to TJJD;
(2) problem
concerning the administration of a TJJD program or operation;
(3) problem concerning the delivery of
services in a facility operated by or under contract with TJJD; or
(4) interference by TJJD with an
investigation conducted by the Independent Ombudsman.
