Section 749.425 - What must my appeal process include?

(a) You must have a written appeal process for your adult clients in regard to your actions and decisions that affect those clients.
(b) The process must describe:
(1) How you will inform clients of their
right to appeal;
(2) The procedures
and time frames for clients to make an appeal;
(3) The criteria or basis that will be used
to make the decision;
(4) Who will
hear an appeal and make the decision;
(5) Time frames for making a decision and
communicating the decision to the client; and
(6) How the client will be informed of the
decision.
(c) You must provide this information to each birth parent, foster parent applicant, or adoptive applicant before you make that person your client.
(d) Your appeal process does not have to involve anyone from outside your agency. An internal review procedure is sufficient.
