Section 748.4003 - What requirements must I meet when transporting a child away from the operation?

Anytime you transport a child away from the operation, you must comply with each of the following requirements:
(1) Each driver must:
(A) Be at least 21 years old. For an
exception for children in care, see § 748.4005 of Title 40 (relating to
May a child in care transport other children in care?);
(B) Be covered by automobile insurance;
and
(C) Have a current driver's
license allowing the driver to operate the type of vehicle that is used to
transport children.
(2) You must not transport more people than the capacity of the vehicle.
(3) The vehicle must travel at a safe speed consistent with the speed limit, terrain, and weather conditions.
(4) For requirements regarding firearms and transportation, see § 748.3935 of Title 40 (relating to May a caregiver transport a child in a vehicle where weapons, firearms, explosive materials, or projectiles are present?).
