Section 748.3161 - What steps must I take to ensure that heating devices do not present hazards to children?

(a) Gas appliances must be safe and in good repair.

(b) Space heaters must be enclosed and have a screen or guard.

(c) You must ensure that children do not have access to floor and wall furnace grates, steam and hot water pipes, and electric space heaters.

(d) If you use a fireplace or wood-burning stove, it must be kept clean and have a screen or guard.

(e) You may not use a stove to heat any part of the operation, including portable camp stoves.

(f) You may not use open flame or liquid fuel heaters.
