Section 748.1539 - What immunizations must a child in my care have?

(a) Each child that you admit must meet and continue to meet the applicable immunization requirements as specified by the Department of State Health Services.

(b) You must maintain current immunizations records for each child in your care, including any immunization exemptions or exceptions.

(c) Unless the child is exempt from immunization requirements, all immunizations required for the child's age must:

(1) Be completed by the date of admission; or

(2) A child that is homeless or a child in foster care shall be admitted temporarily for 30 days if acceptable evidence of immunization is not available. You should immediately refer the child to an appropriate health care professional to obtain the required immunizations.
