Section 601.7 - Reciprocity

(a) Reciprocity. The board may waive any prerequisite for obtaining a medical physicist license to an applicant who holds a license to practice medical or radiological physics in another state, territory, or jurisdiction that has requirements for the licensing of medical or radiological physicists that are substantially the same as the requirements of the Act.

(b) Endorsement. The board may waive any prerequisite for obtaining a license to practice medical physics to a person who holds a license issued by another state, territory or jurisdiction with which this state has a reciprocity agreement. The board may make an arrangement, subject to the approval of the governor, with another state to allow for licensing by reciprocity.
