Section 511.162 - Application for Issuance of the Certificate by Exam After Completion of the CPA Examination

(a) Application for issuance of the CPA certificate must be made on forms prescribed by the board and shall be in compliance with board rules and with all applicable laws.

(b) The board will provide an application for issuance of the CPA certificate to an applicant who successfully completes the UCPAE, and thereafter as requested by the same applicant.

(c) An applicant must submit with the issuance application all information required in § 511.161 of this chapter (relating to Qualifications for Issuance of a Certificate).

(d) An applicant must submit with the application for issuance of a certificate the requisite fee in accordance with § 521.9 of this title (relating to Certification Fee).

(e) An applicant must comply with the board's procedure to obtain criminal history record information in accordance with an established fingerprint process that accesses the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Texas Department of Public Safety - Crime records division files in order to ensure that the applicant lacks a history of dishonest or felonious acts and for the board to be aware of any criminal activity that might be relevant to the applicant's qualifications.
