Section 22.130 - Eligible Students

(a) To be eligible for employment in the Program a person shall:
(1) be a resident of Texas, as defined by
§
22.1 of this chapter (relating to
Definitions);
(2) be enrolled at
least half-time, as determined by the student's institution, and be seeking a
degree or certificate in an eligible institution;
(3) show financial need, as defined by §
22.1 of this chapter;
(4) meet applicable standards outlined in
§
22.3 of this chapter (relating to
Student Compliance with Selective Service Registration; and
(5) if participating in the Mentorship
Program, receive appropriate training and supervision as determined by the
Coordinating Board.
(b) A person is not eligible to participate in the Program if the person concurrently receives an athletic scholarship.
