Section 13.190 - Piping and Hose

(a) The use of hose in an installation is limited to:
(1) a
vehicle refueling hose; the maximum length fueling hose is 12 feet and shall be
supported;
(2) an inlet connection
to compression equipment not exceeding 36 inches. This connector, if used,
shall be supplied as part of the residential fueling appliance;
(3) a section of metallic hose not exceeding
36 inches in length in a pipeline to provide flexibility where necessary. Each
section shall be so installed that it will be protected against mechanical
damage and be readily visible for inspection. The manufacturer's identification
shall be retained in each section;
(4) hose used for pressure relief device
channels may exceed 36 inches.
(b) The least possible number of connections shall be used in order to reduce the possibility of leakage in the residential fueling appliance.
