Texas Administrative Code
Title 10 - COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Part 1 - TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS
Chapter 90 - MIGRANT LABOR HOUSING FACILITIES
Section 90.1 - Purpose

Universal Citation: 10 TX Admin Code § 90.1
Current through Reg. 49, No. 52; December 27, 2024

The purpose of Chapter 90 is to establish rules governing Migrant Labor Housing Facilities that are subject to being licensed under Tex. Gov't Code Chapter 2306, Subchapter LL (§§2306.921 - 2306.933). It is recognized that aligning state requirements with the federal standards for migrant farm worker housing that must be inspected in order to participate in other state and federal programs, such as with the U.S. Department of Labor's H2-A visa program, allows for cooperative efforts between the Department and other state and federal entities to share information. This will reduce redundancies and improve the effectiveness of the required licensing.
