Section 72.11 - Abandonment of License

(a) A licensee who ceases to use the state seal for a commercial purpose may abandon the license by filing a statement of abandonment. Upon abandonment, the person will no longer be licensed to use the state seal for a commercial purpose, and he will no longer be required to file quarterly reports or update the information on file with the secretary of state pertaining to the license to use the state seal. Abandonment will not result in the refund of any fees paid to the secretary of state.

(b) A statement of abandonment must be in writing, signed by the licensee, and must include:

(1) the name in which the license was issued; and

(2) a statement that the licensee is abandoning the license.
