Section 63.12 - Request for Review by the Attorney General

(a) If a governmental body redacts or withholds information under Texas Government Code §§ RSA 552.024(c)(2), 552.1175(f), 552.130(c), 552.136(c), or 552.138(c) without requesting a decision from the attorney general about whether the information may be redacted or withheld, the requestor may ask the attorney general to review the governmental body's determination that the information at issue is excepted from required disclosure.
(b) A request for review by the attorney general must:
(c) The requestor must submit a copy of the original request with the request for review. If the requestor is unable to do so, the requestor must include a written description of the original request in the request for review.
(d) The requestor may submit written comments to the attorney general stating reasons why the information at issue should be released.
(e) The deadlines in § RSA 63.13 and § RSA 63.16 of this subchapter commence on the date on which the attorney general receives from the requestor all of the information required by subsections (b) and (c) of this section.
