(a) This subchapter describes:
(1) the financial eligibility
criteria for a Medicaid-funded program for the elderly and people with
disabilities (MEPD); and
(2) the
budgeting process for determining financial eligibility and a co-payment
amount, if applicable.
(b) The Texas Health and Human Services Commission determines a person's financial eligibility for MEPD by assessing the person's income and resources and applying federal income and resources eligibility criteria.
