Section 213.31 - Telecommunications Products

Effective April 18, 2020, unless an exception is approved by the president or chancellor of an institution of higher education or an exemption has been made for specific technologies pursuant to 1 Texas Administrative Code § 213.37, when purchasing telecommunication equipment or services, an institution of higher education shall contractually require the manufacturer of telecommunication equipment or provider of telecommunication services to ensure that the equipment or services are in compliance with 47 U.S.C. 255 and 47 U.S.C. 36 C.F.R. §1194.2, Appendix B, when such products are readily available or compliance is achievable.
