Bona fide students enrolled in any school in the State of Tennessee may operate passenger motor vehicles owned and licensed in the student's name in another State during the period in which the student is enrolled in school in Tennessee without being required to have the motor vehicle licensed in Tennessee, provided the State in which the motor vehicle is registered grants like privilege to Tennessee residents who are students in that State.

As evidence of the above, the student must have available for inspection by proper officials a certificate of registration and certificate of the school official showing the period for which the student is enrolled in the school.
