Section 1130-02-.04 - QUALIFICATIONS FOR LICENSURE

(1) Pursuant to T.C.A. § 63-19-202, the Committee and Board shall certify no person as an orthopedic physician assistant unless:
(a) The
person is a graduate of an orthopedic physician assistant training program
approved by the Committee and Board; and
(b) The person has successfully completed the
examination of the N.B.C.O.P.A.
(2) Alternative to 1130-02-.04(1), any person who meets both of the following criteria may be considered for licensure as an orthopedic physician assistant:
(a) The person
was performing services as an orthopedic physician assistant in Tennessee on
May 30, 1995 and can provide a notarized letter of verification of that
employment; and
(b) The person can
produce satisfactory evidence of having successfully completed the examination
of the N.B.C.O.P.A.
