Chapter 0260-05 - General Rules Governing Chiropractic Therapy Assistants
Section 0260-05-.10 - SUPERVISION OF INTERNS

(1) Intern supervision is for the purpose of training or teaching, by a supervisor who monitors the performance of an individual. For supervising Interns, the supervisor is required to be physically on site at all times during the supervision of the Intern.

(2) The Intern supervisor must provide regular documented face-to-face guidance and instructions with respect to the skills and competencies of the person supervised.

(3) Intern supervision may be performed by a Tennessee licensed chiropractic physician or certified chiropractic therapy assistant.

(4) A supervisor who is a chiropractic therapy assistant must have been certified for a minimum of two (2) years prior to performing supervision duties.
