The Division of Highway Patrol may sell LCV permits, in multiples of 10, which allow movement 24 hours a day, on highways listed in § 70:03:01:65, of a LCV which is overlength, over 80,000 pounds, or both. The LCV may consist of the following:

(1) Tractor-semitrailer-semitrailer;

(2) Tractor-semitrailer-trailer;

(3) Tractor-semitrailer-semitrailer-semitrailer;

(4) Tractor-semitrailer-trailer-trailer; or

(5) Truck-trailer.

The LCV permit is a self-issuing permit which may not be used in conjunction with other oversize permits. The fee for 10 LCV permits is $100.

If a permit-issuing authority finds that a vehicle which needs a LCV permit under this section does not have one or has one that is not filled out correctly, the permit-issuing authority may issue a single-trip permit to the vehicle under § 70:03:01:02.
