A multiple-trip construction equipment permit may be issued by the Division of Highway Patrol to an individual or a company doing business in South Dakota for the movement on state highways of construction equipment that is oversized or overweight or both. The multiple-trip permit may be issued for a period not to exceed 12 months and is valid only for the movement of an individual's or company's own construction equipment. The permit is not valid for the commercial movement of construction equipment.
