Personal property such as equipment and tools which is essential for the individual's daily activities for self-support is excluded from resources as long as the equity value does not exceed $6,000.

Real property used to produce food or livestock for personal consumption in the individual's home is excluded from resources as long as the equity value does not exceed $6,000.

Any equity value in excess of $6,000 must be included as a resource.

The six percent net annual return provisions required under § 67:46:05:21 do not apply to property meeting the conditions of this section.
