Workspace around switchboards and panel boards shall be provided and maintained as required by the National Electrical Code, 2014 edition. Such space may not be used for storage. A clear and unobstructed means of access with a minimum width of 36 inches and a minimum height of 78 inches shall be maintained from the operating face of the switchboard or panel board to an aisle or corridor. The disconnecting means for each service, feeder, or branch circuit originating on a switchboard or panel board shall be legibly and durably marked to indicate its purpose unless the purpose is clearly evident.
