Temporary wiring for electrical power and lighting installations is allowed during periods of construction, remodeling, repair, demolition, or similar activities. Temporary wiring is also allowed for not more than 90 days for Christmas decorative lighting, carnivals, and similar purposes and for experimental or developmental work. When temporary wiring is attached to a structure, it must be attached in a manner that may not create a hazard.
