Educational occupancies having an occupant load of 50 or more shall be provided with a manual and automatic fire alarm system. Manual fire alarm boxes shall be located in accordance with NFPA 72, "National Fire Alarm Code," 2013 edition. Fire alarm systems shall be maintained and tested in accordance with the National Fire Alarm Code. Assembly portions of educational occupancies may have alarms as required for the educational occupancy.
