A supervisor may review any position history file or any performance file. The review shall be done in confidence with the commissioner or a designee. An employee may review the employee's personnel file. The review shall be done in confidence with the commissioner or a designee. An employee has the right to obtain a copy of the contents of the employee's personnel file or any other pertinent data that directly relates to the employee held in the state's files. The cost of the copy shall be borne by the employee.
