An eligible employee who has terminated employment with the state and is on annual leave when the employee's longevity pay date occurs shall receive the full longevity compensation payment to which the employee is entitled. If an eligible employee retires, is laid off, or dies before reaching the longevity pay date for the fiscal year, the employee shall receive a prorated longevity compensation payment based on the number of full calendar months that the employee worked or was on terminal annual leave. Prorated longevity compensation shall be calculated using the period from the previous longevity payment date to the employee's last paid date on payroll.
