Any person who is removed from the voter registration list due to a felony conviction shall be notified by the county auditor. The notice shall be sent by forwardable mail in the following form:

Felony Conviction Notice Received

Voter Registration Cancellation Notice

This office has been notified that you have been convicted of a felony.

Under South Dakota law §12-4-18, a person convicted of a felony loses the right to vote. You will be eligible to register to vote upon completion of your entire sentence.
